What better way to celebrate 25 years as a leader in the fashion industry than by giving back?  Throughout September we launched our Tee For Tee program, pledging to donate a tee for each tee sold in our Michael Stars stores and on our ecommerce site.  We’d like to thank our awesome customers for helping us to donate over 25 thousand tees to the National Coalition for the Homeless, a coalition dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness.  They will be distributing our t-shirts to Women’s shelters across the nation.  We are always looking for ways to reach out and make a difference and we love that our customers are a supportive extension of our mission!

However, no celebration is complete without a party!  In true Michael Stars fashion we collaborated with InStyle Magazine to host a fabulous 25th anniversary cocktail party.  Guests were invited to celebrate with Michael Cohen and his wife Suzanne Lerner at the Lerner et Cie showroom in New York City for a memorable evening of delectable appetizers, luscious treats, and delicious Brancott wine.  From snapping photos with Michael at the Michael Stars photo studio to dancing our heels off on a terrace framed by New York City’s iconic skyline, we did our celebration justice!  Of course, it’s no surprise that our company known for its signature shine is able to throw a glittery bash!

And, what party is complete without goodies?  As the night wound down, we delivered our guests home with limited-edition heritage tees and an exclusive tote from our chic “heritage tee bar.�  What a wonderful way to celebrate 25 years of philanthropy, casual chic style, and industry influence.  Here’s to many, many more!
