Executive Assistant to VP of Sales

Job Summary:

This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting the VP of Sales. Will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work independently. Support VP of Sales in all activities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
  • Review and summarize miscellaneous reports and documents; prepare documents and outgoing mail as necessary
  • Arrange travel schedule, itinerary, and reservations as needed
  • Conserves VP's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications
  • Maintains executive/customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Willing to support with tasks and departments, as needed, which may include performing various errands if necessary
  • Be responsible for heavy calendar management, requiring interaction with both internal and external executives and assistants to coordinate a variety of executive meetings
  • Answer phones and direct all incoming calls to appropriate party promptly and efficiently
  • Assist collaboration with preparation of presentation materials

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience supporting at the executive level, personal and professional type duties as needed
  • Excellent time management and calendar management skills, including the coordination of executive meetings
  • Meticulous organization skills required
  • Experience assisting executive level management with the creation of documents and memos
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Design Room Assistant

Job Summary:

The primary role is to work as part of the Design Team, assisting the Designers in the coordination of the varied details of requests and tasks. This role will provide the much required “go-to-it” support to the Design Team. Effective time management is essential for this role. The primary responsibility is to keep all aspects in the design process organized and on calendar.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee organization of design department including sample cages, libraries, color room, etc
  • Trend service assistant
  • Check in and arrange samples
  • Organize and match color dips
  • Oversee supply order
  • Preparation for line review
  • Organize travel through corporate travel agency for designer staff if necessary
  • Assists with comparison reports based on competitors’ market info
  • Contact vendors to update info to communicate w/ Product Development and Pre-production
  • Attend trade shows as needed
  • Pull samples from warehouse
  • Update fabric and trim testing log
  • Assist design with coordination of calendars and meetings, possibly picking up items for line review and lunches

Qualifications:

  • Preferred AS or BA Degree in Business Administration, emphasis in Design
  • 1+ years design room organization experience within the apparel industry
  • Proficient at Microsoft office
  • Ability to handle multi-faceted projects with strong follow through
  • Able to work independently, as well as collaborate as a team player
  • Must have own transportation to conduct job related errands and pick ups

Accounts Payable Coordinator

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for all of the company’s accounts payable and vendor statement reconciliations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Vendor invoice coding
  • Create timely check disbursements for vendors
  • Create debit and credit memos for vendors
  • Cut expense report checks for employees every Friday
  • Maintain vendor information in Vantage Point
  • Maintain vendor and independent contractor W-9, garment registration files
  • Prepare weekly check run
  • Reconcile and process monthly credit card statements
  • Maintain paid files
  • Call vendors to resolve billing discrepancies when needed
  • Make sure all invoices are signed off by appropriate department manager
  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years accounting experience, with 1-2 years in the Apparel industry to include COG’s and WIP’s.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills-able to interact with all levels of management
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of Vantage Point a plus.
  • Ability to handle multi-faceted projects with strong follow through

Job Summary:

The Sales Lead is responsible for achieving personal sales goals, displaying leadership on the sales floor, as well as properly opening and closing the store, in addition to assisting Store Management as needed with operational tasks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed the expectations based on the Retail Performance Indicator Ratings (PIRs)
  • Supervise and motivate Sales Associates to drive sales
  • Address any and all customer service issues as needed
  • Greet each and every customer and courteously answer customer questions
  • Discuss merchandise with customers and suggest items that fit into each customer's unique style
  • Monitor fitting rooms by attending to customer needs while being conscious of loss prevention

Michael Stars is looking for a school credit intern to join their Advertising Department. Students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in assisting with advertising, photo shoots, and photo shoots post production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Advertising

  • Maintains magazine library
  • Tag all ads in publications
  • Pull inspiration tears from all magazines

Photo Shoots
