Job Summary:

This candidate must have experience with contemporary women’s wholesale specialty accounts in the Dallas territory. Individual must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to seek out new business and to maintain strong relationships with existing accounts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organizing markets and roadwork from the Dallas showroom
  • Responsible for creating strategies to drive sales to ensure goals are met consistently
  • Sales forecasting for specialty accounts
  • Drive store business, replenish and be proactive implementing sales strategies
  • Maintaining key relationships with existing specialty store contacts and ability to seek opportunities to expand current business

Associate Designer

Job Summary:

Responsible for designing all categories of the product line and ensuring perfect fit into production. Assist the Designer with development of styles for the line.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop the Michael Stars product lines according to market trends and the Michael Stars vision
  • Research trends and bring in new ideas through: competitive shopping; textile shows; reviewing trend services, tear sheets, magazines, trade journals and websites
  • Assist in the development of seasonal color palette from lab dip to pre-production; create layouts analyzing trends of both style and color for each season and group for both store, department store, boutique, and showroom use
  • Communicate with assistant and tech designer to perfect sketches, specs, and tech packs
  • Attend fittings as needed
  • Partner with tech design and merchandising to develop cost saving, mass-marketable and quality control friendly alternatives and ensure all details are discussed and understood
  • Assist with creating tech packs
  • Meet all events/deadlines on design calendar
  • Illustrator and free-hand flat sketching
  • Research trims, fabrics and sourcing
  • Make product presentations to internal team members
  • Coordinate samples for special appointments

Qualifications:

  • AS or BA Degree from Art and Design College
  • Creative visionary with a minimum of 5 years design experience within the contemporary market
  • Proficient at Microsoft office, Illustrator, and Photoshop, Web PDM a plus
  • Ability to handle multi-faceted projects with strong follow through
  • Able to work independently, as well as collaborate as a team player

Assistant QC Inspector

Job Summary:

Must be able to audit garments in order to keep our high quality standards. Must document all quality issues and coordinate the repair of garments needed to fulfill our daily shipping needs. Must know how measure properly and have an understanding of Michael Stars quality in order to please our customers and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Audits garments for local production and assists with import styles if needed
  • Quality inspection of customer returns.
  • Re- inspects pieces deemed damaged by our contractors
  • Assists in the auditing of the Lean Teams
  • Helps lead the in-house QC teams as they prioritize and process styles
  • Assists Sr. Auditor in measuring pieces from the blanks and shelf audits
  • Helps in other areas of Q.C Department when needed

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 2 years’ experience
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Understanding of AQL report + processes a plus
  • Ability to multitask

Sr. Accounts Payable Coordinator

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the company’s full accounts payable cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process, verify, and reconcile invoices according to established policies and procedures
  • Manage the inflow of invoices via email, mail, and vendor portals.
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs or payments as needed
  • Correspond and resolve vendor inquiries
  • Banking – International wires, ACH, and positive pay
  • Other related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-10 years accounting experience, with 2-3 years in the Apparel industry to include COG’s and WIP’s.

Job Summary:

The Sales Lead is responsible for achieving personal sales goals, displaying leadership on the sales floor, as well as properly opening and closing the store, in addition to assisting Store Management as needed with operational tasks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed the expectations based on the Retail Performance Indicator Ratings (PIRs)
  • Supervise and motivate Sales Associates to drive sales
  • Address any and all customer service issues as needed
  • Greet each and every customer and courteously answer customer questions
  • Discuss merchandise with customers and suggest items that fit into each customer's unique style
  • Monitor fitting rooms by attending to customer needs while being conscious of loss prevention

The Design Intern will provide support to the Design Department. There will be a variety of different responsibilities most of which will require an extremely high level of attention to detail.
