PR & Marketing Coordinator

Job Summary:

The PR & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Public Relations and Marketing department in executing all marketing campaigns and events that align with the ecommerce, retail and wholesale divisions as well as management of all public relations initiatives. This position requires strong communication, critical quick-thinking and attention to detail. A good understanding of fashion PR is preferred.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage product fulfillment for PR agency including gifting for editors, celebrities and influencers as well as seasonal sample lines
  • Maintain marketing calendar to ensure all deadlines are met; Disseminate upcoming campaigns and promotions to retail/ecommerce teams and other cross-functional partners
  • Conduct timely analysis and evaluation of the success of each marketing campaign or promotional activity and track all records
  • Responsible for media credit inquiries and sample or image fulfillment in liaison with PR agency
  • Monitor and record all press, celebrity and influencer coverage
  • Establish relationships with key online influencers and assist in partnership of collaborations
  • Conduct routine research to understand competitors as it relates to marketing content and social media strategies
  • Assist with planning and execution of all philanthropic events, partnerships and sponsorships
  • General assistance as required for PR, marketing and social media

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year PR or Marketing field experience; PR agency experience preferred
  • Interest in fashion, bloggers/influencers and celebrity lifestyle
  • Strong written, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines with strong time management skills
  • Social media knowledge preferred
  • Have a positive, cheerful, team-oriented attitude

Sr Account Executive

Job Summary:

Michael Stars is actively seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Senior Account Executive with a passion for the fashion industry. This candidate must have experience with contemporary women’s wholesale specialty store and online retailers to join our team. Individual must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to seek out new business and to maintain strong relationships with existing accounts.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Sales forecasting for specialty and online accounts
  • Perform weekly, monthly and end of season sales analysis. Drive store business, replenish and be proactive implementing sales strategies
  • Knowledge of trends in the marketplace to attend seasonal design line review meetings
  • Maintaining key relationships with existing specialty store contacts

Qualifications:

Jr Processing Manager

Job Summary:

Plans, organizes and prioritizes workflow for processing teams which includes dye plans, finishing and production.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all production is processed in a timely manner and within the Quality Control Guidelines.
  • Ensures that merchandise is available and protected for all Major & priority accounts.
  • Communicates to appropriate WH personnel of any priorities or urgent dye plans & cuts.

Job Summary:

The Design Intern will provide support to the Design Department. There will be a variety of different responsibilities most of which will require an extremely high level of attention to detail.

  • Organize and pull samples from archive/production

Job Summary:

The Sales Lead is responsible for achieving personal sales goals, displaying leadership on the sales floor, as well as properly opening and closing the store, in addition to assisting Store Management as needed with operational tasks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed the expectations based on the Retail Performance Indicator Ratings (PIRs)
  • Supervise and motivate Sales Associates to drive sales
  • Address any and all customer service issues as needed
  • Greet each and every customer and courteously answer customer questions
  • Discuss merchandise with customers and suggest items that fit into each customer's unique style
  • Monitor fitting rooms by attending to customer needs while being conscious of loss prevention

Michael Stars is looking for a school credit intern to join their Advertising Department. Students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in assisting with advertising, photo shoots, and photo shoots post production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Advertising

  • Maintains magazine library
  • Tag all ads in publications
  • Pull inspiration tears from all magazines
  • Update/maintain advertising contacts

Photo Shoots

  • Seasonal trend research/reporting
  • Assist Advertising Coordinator with reports and presentations
  • Assists with pulling photo shoot samples
  • Assists with photo shoot planning: model castings, and liaison to shoot producer

Photo Shoots Post-Production

  • Coordinate delivery of hard drive to corporate
