Marketing Director

Job Summary:

Manage all day to day marketing activity for the Michael Stars brand. Coordinate and execute marketing strategies and initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners. Manage internal calendars, social media platforms, and copy efforts to deliver a consistent “voice” appropriate for the brand. Social media efforts include photo shoots, content creation, copy writing, management of daily postings and reporting of results. This position is also responsible for all corporate copywriting including email blasts, blog and marketing materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all daily internal and external marketing communications, deadlines, and asset coordination. Requires heavy collaboration with multiple internal departments and President
  • Manage (and create where necessary) all marketing calendars including promotional, departmental, philanthropic, email and social media calendars
  • Work with Ecommerce Director to coordinate assets needed for digital marketing initiatives
  • Oversee Brand Marketing Coordinator and daily tasks/expectations
  • Responsible for executing overall content strategy and copy writing to drive a clear and consistent brand message through web content, email blasts, marketing collateral and social media platforms
  • Drive all brand and seasonal strategies & initiatives across wholesale, ecommerce and retail
  • Contribute to the development of customer acquisition & retention strategies; measure success and meet department goals
  • Create strategic social media plan and daily content for brand to increase visibility and growth while engaging fans
  • Propose partnership opportunities and serve as key liaison for all brand collaborations
  • Create social media calendar, strategy and content for President to increase her visibility and grow following
  • Monitor customer responses on social media platforms including troubleshooting issues as they arise through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube and WordPress blog
  • Partner with key online influencers and tastemakers as needed for partnership opportunities
  • Post on blog as needed to drive traffic to site, build brand awareness and create content for social platforms
  • Conduct research to understand competitors as it relates to content, branding and social media strategy
  • Manage all philanthropic activity, asset needs, scheduling and strategies
  • Responsible for all email marketing: calendar, assets, creative copy, reporting, and communication
  • Lead overall PR vision and strategies with external agency to generate exposure across all channels; leverage strong industry relationships
  • Attend off-site events as necessary to garner content for social platforms
  • Compile weekly and monthly social media and email marketing reports to measure results. Analyze data to optimize strategy and tactics

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or similar field
  • 5+ years fashion marketing & social media experience
  • Knowledge of Photoshop or other editing applications
  • Must be detail oriented with exceptional copywriting skills
  • Experience in photography and/or graphic design a plus
  • Must have experience with social media/copywriting and be willing to produce examples of work
  • Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment, while working independently and as part of a team

 

Sales Coordinator

Location:

Los Angeles, CA

Job Summary:

As Sales Coordinator, this person will be responsible for all showroom needs. Assist in handling any elevated problems or special requests pertaining to priority accounts, supplying report information, assisting in Majors requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain showroom by ordering office supplies and making sure there are enough order forms and line sheets
  • Manage Daily Total Report & Reorder Report (weekly)
  • Check orders in vantage and let the Account Executives know if there are any discrepancies
  • Create and maintain the OTS line sheets
  • Manage and remove any samples that are sold from the showroom
  • Assist customers when they call with reorders or questions about their existing orders if the reps are busy
  • Manage inventory when samples come into the showroom
  • Coordinate with PR for samples that they need to borrow and then follow up with them to be returned.
  • Create and manage the selling reports for Nordstrom drop ship and Evereve
  • Make customized line sheets for the reps on PowerPoint
  • Prepare the line for trade shows (get the line in order, steam, garment bag, etc.)
  • Attend trade shows & help show the line
  • Help reps get ready for road appointments
  • Maintain and manage the road line
  • Help reps write up orders & RA’s
  • Send orders at the end of day to corporate and make sure to receive a confirmation log back
  • Assist in special projects when needed
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required or its equivalent, Degree in Fashion Merchandising preferred
  • 2-3 years analytical sales experience within the apparel industry
  • Knowledgeable in Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
  • Ability to keep organized
  • Ability to handle multi-faceted projects with strong follow through

Sr. Account Executive

Job Summary:

This candidate must have experience with contemporary women’s wholesale accounts in the Los Angeles territory. Individual must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to seek out new business and to maintain strong relationships with existing accounts. A positive attitude and strong desire to succeed is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organizing markets and roadwork from the L.A. showroom
  • Responsible for creating strategies to drive sales to ensure goals are met consistently
  • Sales forecasting for all accounts
  • Drive store business, replenish and be proactive implementing sales strategies

Job Summary:

The Sales Lead is responsible for achieving personal sales goals, displaying leadership on the sales floor, as well as properly opening and closing the store, in addition to assisting Store Management as needed with operational tasks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed the expectations based on the Retail Performance Indicator Ratings (PIRs)
  • Supervise and motivate Sales Associates to drive sales
  • Address any and all customer service issues as needed
  • Greet each and every customer and courteously answer customer questions
  • Discuss merchandise with customers and suggest items that fit into each customer's unique style
  • Monitor fitting rooms by attending to customer needs while being conscious of loss prevention

Assist the PR & Marketing department on all public relations, marketing, events and social media initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sample request fulfillment including shipping and facilitating sample returns

Design Interns

Job Summary:

The Design Intern will provide support to the Design Department. There will be a variety of different responsibilities most of which will require an extremely high level of attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize and pull samples from archive/production
  • Create concept and inspiration boards
  • Create Illustrator CAD sketches
  • Maintain trim/fabric library and create new trim/fabric cards
