Smock top dress

"The fabric is a nice cotton gauze and lined. But the smocking on the top is way too short in length maybe okay if you’re flat chested. The length was perfect for me and I’m 5’11” tall. Add about 4-6 inches this would allow someone options to fold it over if it’s too long and give more fabric to someone with a larger chest …. it would look more balanced. As it is It would look best on a 5’7-5’10”taller person that is small chested. So, I returned it."

Not flattering on short, curvy people

"I tried an XS and S, both are my usual fit, depending on the dress. But even with a perfect fit, the style is problematic if you are short and curvy. I think it has to do with the cut of the dress, which is way up above the hips. My low back curves and that is accentuated with the cut of the dress and really noticeable from the side view. Just not flattering in my opinion. I think it would look great on tall and slim folks (like the pictured models). But not on regular short folks like me. I gave three stars though, because it is very pretty and well made."
